Biripi/Worimi artist Luke Russell’s bandanna centers around storytelling as a method of passing on knowledge. 🤝🏿☁ Luke and his generation is represented by the central circle, joined to larger circles representing his parents, encircling smaller circles symbolising grandparents and elders. The flowing lines stand for the culture that connects them together. As Luke says, “This is my acknowledgment to our elders and appreciation for the stories and culture passed on through them.” This bandanna features a yellow and red aboriginal symbolic familial system design of circles and connecting rivers, shadowed by grey circles on a black background. ⭕🟡⚫
